When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was about 5 years old and we adopted our first cat Emma – (I have a letter from my 1st grade teacher that I wrote to myself as a child about becoming a vet, I got it in the mail from my teacher when I graduated high school!)

What do you have for pets?
Currently 3 cats: Smudge, Clementine and Leeloo

What little-known fact about you would surprise clients and maybe co-workers?
I have done extensive volunteering with various animal species including a wonderful experience rehabilitating Asian elephants rescued from the logging trade in Thailand

What is your favorite part about your job?
Helping to support the human animal bond and relationship between a pet and their owner through providing medical care and education

In your opinion, what animals are the most understood?
Of the species I have worked with I feel dogs are most understood, they have been by our side for thousands of years and their place in society is a testament to that.

If your pets could answer one question, what question would you pose?
Are you happy?
